Dentist Near Wellesley Hills

Convenient Access from Wellesley Hills

Neighbors searching for a dentist near Wellesley Hills can reach SOAP Dental in Natick Center in roughly 9 minutes by car. Dr. Bob Cheng runs a general practice at our Natick office, caring for children, teens and adults with checkups, cosmetic work, clear aligners and repairs. Weekday hours open at 8:00AM, so a visit can come before work or before the morning train.

From Wellesley Hills station at 341 Washington Street, drive west on Washington Street (Route 16) through the center of Wellesley. The road hands off to Central Street (Route 135) at the Natick line, and from there you turn onto Main Street (Route 27) and then onto Middlesex Avenue. The whole trip covers about 4.5 miles with no tolls, though weekday rush hour can stretch it.

The Sprague clocktower in Elm Park and the Hills Library both sit on that same Washington Street corridor, so most of the village starts from a road it already knows. Our office is at 7A Middlesex Ave, Natick, MA 01760, about a tenth of a mile from Natick Center station; open our Google Maps listing for turn-by-turn help. Patients from Wellesley and Needham come in on similar roads.

Why Wellesley Hills Commuters Pick a Practice One Town West

Wellesley Hills grew up around a square where Washington Street, Route 9 and the old Boston and Worcester Railroad meet. That rail line is now the MBTA Framingham/Worcester Line, and it still shapes the rhythm of the village. For anyone who rides it, the week tends to run on a train schedule, a school bell and a long list of errands.

The square also carries a lot of history in a small space. The boulder Gothic Revival church of the Unitarian Society has stood at 309 Washington Street since the late 1880s, and the 75-foot Isaac Sprague Memorial Tower, built in 1928, still holds the clock and bell the town received in 1874. The Hills Library, a branch of the Wellesley Free Library at 210 Washington Street, rounds out a walkable little center.

A dental office that sits on the same rail line, a short drive west, fits that rhythm well. Natick Center station is one of the stops on that line, a few minutes' walk from our door. On a day off or a flexible workday, a Wellesley Hills rider can treat the visit as one more stop instead of a separate trip across the region.

The village belongs to Norfolk County, while our office sits just across the county line in Middlesex County, so the trip feels like a hop between neighboring towns rather than a commute. Our team keeps things simple for busy patients. Online booking runs through our scheduling page, appointments start early on weekdays, and Saturday mornings are available by appointment only. A single office with one dentist also means you see the same familiar face at every visit, which makes it easier to track small changes over the years.

What Wellesley Hills Households Should Know About Staying on Schedule

The most common gap we see with commuters is time, not interest. A cleaning slides from six months to a year, a sensitive tooth gets ignored for a season, and a small filling turns into a bigger repair. Booking the next checkup before you leave the chair is the simplest fix, and our front desk handles it in a minute.

Long days at a desk and a tight commute can also show up in the jaw. Clenching and grinding often happen at night, so many people only notice sore muscles, morning headaches or worn edges on their teeth. Dr. Cheng looks for those signs at every exam and talks through options such as a custom nightguard or TMJ care when they appear.

Our technology helps keep visits efficient. Digital X-rays produce images right away with reduced radiation, and an intraoral camera puts real-time photos of your mouth on the screen so you can see exactly what the doctor sees. For aligners, crowns and implant planning, the iTero® scanner captures a digital 3D model instead of a tray of impression putty.

Families with teens can line up visits during school breaks and summer weeks, when calendars loosen. Parents often book back-to-back slots so the whole household is done in one morning.

New patients start with a warm welcome and a review of their dental history. Dr. Cheng then completes a comprehensive exam, which may include digital X-rays, a gum screening and a cleaning if appropriate. You leave with a clear picture of your mouth and a plan in order of priority, so nothing feels rushed.

Dental Care for Patients Seeking a Dentist Near Wellesley Hills

  • General Dentistry

Routine checkups, cleanings, oral cancer screenings and sealants form the base of every plan. Patients who book twice a year tend to catch problems while they are still small and quick to treat.

  • Invisalign®

Clear aligners from Dr. Cheng straighten teeth for teens and adults without brackets. Because the trays come out for meetings and meals, they suit professionals who ride the train into Boston every day.

  • Cosmetic Dentistry

Bonding, whitening and custom porcelain veneers can refine color, shape and small gaps. A smile makeover can combine several of these into one plan built around your goals and calendar.

  • TMJ Treatment

Jaw pain, headaches and discomfort when chewing can point to a TMJ disorder. Cone beam 3D imaging gives a 360-degree view of the joints and roots to guide a treatment plan.

  • Emergency Treatment

Severe tooth pain, a cracked tooth or a knocked-out tooth needs prompt attention. Our team reserves time for urgent visits whenever possible, and the short Route 16 drive helps when minutes count.

Insurance & Financing

Invisalign® can run as low as $105 per month*, with exact terms and APR depending on credit score and other factors; *not to be combined with insurance, other discounts or promotions.

LOOK NO FURTHER & book an appointment! I have neglected my teeth for too long but feel absolutely refreshed and hopeful after my visit to Soap Dental. Super clean, easy to find, lots of parking, and extremely relaxed environment. There was never a moment I didnโ€™t feel at ease as to what was going on and was checked in with multiple times to make sure I was comfortable. We spent some time talking about my goals and how we can get there, hallelujah! Iโ€™m actually looking forward to going back next week to get some fillings & sealant applied ๐Ÿคฏ. This is such a great establishment, and if youโ€™re like me and need an all-in-one dental facility I cannot recommend this one enough. Your mouth is in great hands. ๐Ÿฉต

Very lovely place. I got my teeth whitened here and from the moment I walked in for my appointment, I was greeted and taken care off. Front desk staff / assistant was super attentive. The office is lovely, once I walked into my room they greeted me with a large TV and my name on it and made me feel comfortable during my teeth whitening session. The doctor is very kind and makes sure you're comfortable during your visit. Frequent check ups during the appointment from the staff / doctor. Would recommend anyone to come here for all your teeth needs!!

If your in need of a dentist, look no further. I have not been to a dentist since the dark ages and was fairly anxious. Dr Cheng was kind and patient and listened to my sad story with compassion and helpful suggestions regarding my treatment. Minus the guilt trip. He will work with you throughout the process and you might just feel a little better. Mouthwize anyway. Try not to watch Marathon Man before you go.

I have had wonderful dental care at SOAP with Dr. Cheng. Dr Cheng is a gentle and excellent dentist explaining every detail of my dental plan. The office is lovely and the practice uses the most current dental equipment for deep and thorough care. I am so impressed by the intraoral camera exam, digital x rays, and sophisticated lab testing called OralDNA Labs to help guide treatment.

The facility itself is also highly accessible, which is an amazing bonus for those of us who are disabled or have loved ones that are. I highly recommend coming here.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is SOAP Dental from Wellesley Hills, and how do I get there?

The office is about 4.5 miles from Wellesley Hills, roughly 9 minutes by car. Take Washington Street (Route 16) west, stay on Central Street (Route 135) into Natick, then follow Main Street (Route 27) to Middlesex Avenue. Commuters choosing a dentist near Wellesley Hills often like that the drive uses no toll roads and skips the Mass Pike entirely.

Do Wellesley Hills patients still need messy impressions for a crown or Invisalign?

No. The office uses an iTero scanner to take digital 3D scans of your teeth instead of traditional impressions. Dr. Cheng relies on those scans to plan crowns and other restorative work, dental implants and Invisalign. A scan skips the tray of impression material, and the 3D image on screen lets him show you exactly what he is planning.

Can I fit a cleaning around my Framingham/Worcester Line commute?

Yes, our weekday schedule opens at 8:00AM, so an early cleaning can wrap up before a later train. Wellesley Hills station is a Zone 3 stop on that line, and Natick Center station sits about a tenth of a mile from our office. Some riders pair a visit with a remote workday to keep things easy.

Can Wellesley Hills patients have a tooth extracted at the office?

Yes, extractions are part of the restorative care Dr. Cheng provides. He takes X-rays first, and Cone Beam 3D imaging when needed, to see the roots and nearby structures. Before the visit, he explains why the tooth needs to come out and talks through replacement options, such as an implant or a bridge, so you can plan ahead.

Can Wellesley Hills adults straighten their teeth without anyone noticing?

Often, yes. Invisalign aligners are clear and removable, so most people around you will never notice them. Dr. Cheng starts with a digital iTero scan instead of impression putty, then maps each stage of tooth movement. You take the trays out for meals and coffee, and brief check-ins fit around a working week.
