Convenient Access from Saxonville
Parents in the old mill village who need a dentist near Saxonville can have the whole family at SOAP Dental in about 11 minutes. Our office sits in Natick Center, where Dr. Bob Cheng treats kids, teens and adults under one roof. That makes it practical to stack several checkups into a single afternoon instead of driving to three different offices.
Start at Stapleton Elementary School on Elm Street and head south along Elm Street and Concord Street to School Street (Route 126). Hamilton Street and Old Connecticut Path carry you across to Speen Street, where you pick up Worcester Street (Route 9) east. Turn south on North Main Street (Route 27) and then onto Middlesex Avenue, a 5-mile run with no tolls; Route 9 is the stretch most likely to slow down at rush hour.
The trip begins near the Saxonville Mills complex on the Sudbury River, and it ends a short walk from the Natick end of the Cochituate Rail Trail. We are at 7A Middlesex Ave, Natick, MA 01760, and our Google Maps page has directions from any address. Families in nearby Nobscot and Cochituate make a similar trip.
A Family Dental Office Within Easy Reach of the Mill Village
Saxonville has a character all its own. John Stone settled here in 1647, and the village later took its name from the Saxon Factory Company textile mill. The Saxonville Historic District, listed on the National Register in 1992, still holds mill worker housing from the 1820s alongside Greek Revival, Second Empire and Italianate homes.
That sense of a close-knit neighborhood is something we try to match. Our practice has one dentist, so children see the same doctor from their first visit through high school. Parents get to know the front desk by name, and records stay in one place as kids grow.
The village sits in northern Framingham, in Middlesex County, the same county as our Natick office. Many households here split time between school pickups, sports practices and work, so we keep scheduling flexible. Weekday hours run from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, and Saturday mornings are open by appointment only.
The two places are also tied together by more than roads. The Cochituate Rail Trail follows an old rail corridor along Lake Cochituate, linking the mill village with Natick Center. The Framingham section opened in 2015 and the Natick section in 2021, so the full path is still fairly new to many local families. On a mild Saturday, a bike ride and a cleaning can share the same morning.
Summer brings its own routine, with Saxonville Beach on the lake's North Pond drawing families once school lets out. Those weeks off are a smart time to catch up on the visits that slipped during the school year. A July or August cleaning also means kids start the new grade with a fresh checkup on file.
What Saxonville Parents Should Know About Kids' Teeth
Stapleton Elementary at 25 Elm Street and Cameron Middle School at 215 Elm Street both sit within the village. Those school years are when habits form, cavities in the back teeth start, and baby teeth give way to adult ones. Regular cleanings every six months let the dentist track that change and step in early.
Sealants are one of the easiest wins for this age group. A thin, clear or tooth-colored coating on the chewing surfaces of molars and premolars helps keep food and bacteria out of deep grooves. The process is quick and fits easily into a routine checkup.
Kids often feel nervous about the dentist, and Dr. Cheng remembers that feeling himself. He uses an intraoral camera to show children real-time photos of their own teeth on a screen, which turns the exam into something to look at rather than something to fear. Parents see the same images, so it is easy to understand why a tooth needs attention.
Grown-ups in the house deserve the same attention. Busy parents often skip their own cleanings while keeping every child's appointment, and gum problems can build quietly in the meantime. Booking adult visits on the same afternoon as the kids keeps everyone on track without another drive.
Active families also face a higher risk of chipped or knocked-out teeth. Custom sports mouthguards fit far better than store-bought versions, which makes young athletes more likely to actually wear them during games and practice.
Choosing a Dentist Near Saxonville for the Whole Family
Pediatric Dentistry
Care runs from infancy through the teen years, including cleanings, exams, fillings, crowns and sealants. Saxonville kids can come in right after the school day for a calm, friendly visit.
Orthodontics
Traditional braces, clear braces, Invisalign® and retainers are all offered for children, teens and adults. Middle school is often when parents first notice crowding, and an early look helps with planning.
General Dentistry
Parents need care too. Checkups, oral cancer screenings and custom nightguards keep adult smiles healthy, and booking your visit next to your child's saves a second trip.
Restorative Dentistry
Tooth-colored fillings, crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays repair damage and restore comfortable chewing. Each option is explained clearly so you can choose what fits your family.
Emergency Treatment
A fall at the playground or a hard hit in a game can crack or loosen a tooth. Our team sets aside time for urgent cases whenever possible and treats traumatic injuries promptly.

LOOK NO FURTHER & book an appointment! I have neglected my teeth for too long but feel absolutely refreshed and hopeful after my visit to Soap Dental. Super clean, easy to find, lots of parking, and extremely relaxed environment. There was never a moment I didnโt feel at ease as to what was going on and was checked in with multiple times to make sure I was comfortable. We spent some time talking about my goals and how we can get there, hallelujah! Iโm actually looking forward to going back next week to get some fillings & sealant applied ๐คฏ. This is such a great establishment, and if youโre like me and need an all-in-one dental facility I cannot recommend this one enough. Your mouth is in great hands. ๐ฉตPosted on Google![]()

Very lovely place. I got my teeth whitened here and from the moment I walked in for my appointment, I was greeted and taken care off. Front desk staff / assistant was super attentive. The office is lovely, once I walked into my room they greeted me with a large TV and my name on it and made me feel comfortable during my teeth whitening session. The doctor is very kind and makes sure you're comfortable during your visit. Frequent check ups during the appointment from the staff / doctor. Would recommend anyone to come here for all your teeth needs!!Posted on Google![]()

If your in need of a dentist, look no further. I have not been to a dentist since the dark ages and was fairly anxious. Dr Cheng was kind and patient and listened to my sad story with compassion and helpful suggestions regarding my treatment. Minus the guilt trip. He will work with you throughout the process and you might just feel a little better. Mouthwize anyway. Try not to watch Marathon Man before you go.Posted on Google![]()

Frequently Asked Questions
How far is SOAP Dental from Saxonville, and how do I get there?
Plan on about 11 minutes for the 5-mile drive from Saxonville. Follow Elm Street and Concord Street to Route 126, cross on Hamilton Street and Old Connecticut Path to Speen Street, then take Route 9 east to Route 27. Families wanting a dentist near Saxonville will find Middlesex Avenue just off Route 27 in Natick Center.
Can Saxonville patients have a full mouth reconstruction?
Yes, full mouth reconstruction is part of Dr. Cheng's restorative care. It combines treatments such as crowns, bridges, implants, onlays and fillings to rebuild worn, broken or missing teeth and restore a comfortable bite. Planning starts with an exam, Cone Beam 3D imaging and an iTero scan, and he explains each phase and its cost before work begins.
What should a Saxonville resident do about a toothache that wakes them up at night?
Call the office promptly, because pain strong enough to wake you can signal an infection inside the tooth. The team reserves time for emergency visits whenever possible. Dr. Cheng examines the tooth, takes an X-ray and explains your options. Root canal therapy can often remove the infection and save the natural tooth, and a crown usually follows to protect it.
Can my child come in for a checkup after school?
Yes, weekday appointments run until 5:00 PM, which leaves room for after-school visits. Afternoon slots during the school year are popular, so booking the next visit at checkout keeps a good time reserved. Saturday mornings from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM are another option, by appointment only.
Does the $79 new patient visit include X-rays?
Yes, the $79 offer includes a full dental cleaning, an oral health exam and all standard X-rays. It applies to new patients without insurance and in the absence of periodontal disease. It is a simple way for an uninsured family to restart regular care, and it gives Dr. Cheng a complete baseline for each person.
